After several years of private practice in general surgery, Dr. Beck served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during the Vietnam War, and held the position as Chief of Surgery at the 12th Evacuation Hospital, CuChi, S. Vietnam. In 1969, he became a resident in plastic surgery at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital under Dr. D. Ralph Millard, and has practiced plastic surgery in the Orlando, Florida area since 1971. He holds board certification in general and plastic surgery and recertification in plastic surgery. He is a member of American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, The American College of Surgeons, The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and other professional associations, and has served as chairman of plastic surgery at Florida Hospital, as well as Vice President and President of the Seminole County Medical Society.
