Dr. Forsstrom has been in practice since 1978 and uses traditional chiropractic manipulation, manipulation by instrumentation, cold laser therapy, extremity adjusting, flexion-distraction traction, decompression traction and MedX therapy to rehabilitate and strengthen the spinal muscle, tendons and ligaments. His practice philosophy is to treat the spine to make it more functional. If a bone or vertebrae is twisted or subluxated out of normal alignment pinching the nerve and creating pain, then it needs to be manipulated back into place to allow the nerve to heal. If the pain in the neck or lower back is from a bulging disc or disc degeneration, then we need to do decompression traction to rejuvenate the disc and MedX therapy to strengthen the muscles, tendons and ligaments around the spine to increase the strength and function of the area.
