Ilana B. Kutinsky, D.O., F.A.C.C.  is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty board of Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology.

A graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Dr. Kutinsky completed an internal medicine residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO. She then completed a cardiology fellowship in cardiovascular medicine and electrophysiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, CO. Dr. Kutinsky was also an assistant clinical professor at University of Colorado prior to coming home to Michigan.

Dr. Kutinsky is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. She is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. Dr. Kutinsky practices at Michigan Heart Rhythm Group and Western Wayne Heart Group.

Detroit, Michigan was founded in 1701 by the Frenchman Antoine de Cadillac. Recently popularized by the 1989 Michael Moore movie, "Roger and Me"— Motor City is definitely on the upswing. Of course, the Detroit heyday was in the 1950's and it has gradually declined in importance since then. Detroit's population nears 1M and during the 50's it was the 4th largest city in the US. Remember, lots of cars were being pumped out of the steel mills in those days and Detroit was the center of it all. The name Detroit often is used to refer to the larger metro Detroit area, a sprawling land area with a population of roughly 4.5M. Popular neighborhoods include: Midtown, Sherwood Forest, Lafayette Park, Eastern Market, New Center, Palmer Woods, and Green Acres.
