Dr. Robyn Elmslie founded Veterinary Cancer Specialists in 1993, with the goal of helping pets with cancer while maintaining the goal of "quality of life comes first". Veterinary Cancer Specialists in vrcc is the only comprehensive Veterinary Cancer center in private practice offering a full spectrum of diagnostic technologies including abdominal and thoracic ultrasounds, MRI, bone and soft tissue biopsies and cytology, in addition to a full spectrum of cancer treatments including chemotherapy, full course and palliative radiation therapy, surgery, innovative therapies and clinical trials. Dr. Elmslie was honored by the avma in 2006 with the Research Practitioner of the Year award for her ongoing efforts to advance the field of clinical veterinary oncology.
